Rehabilitation and updating of Regenerative Air Preheaters at Brindisi Sud Power Station

In consortium with its Italian parent company STF S.p.A. BWE has been awarded a contract from Enel for the rehabilitation of eight Air Preheaters at Brindisi Sud Power Station in Italy.

Together with a major rehabilitation, the Air Preheaters will be updated to the newest BWE design including BWE's advanced Active Leakage Control system, new heating elements suitable for SCR operation, and new multi fluid soot blowers.

The work on the first two Air Preheaters at Brindisi Sud unit 3 will be carried out during the outage period in the early sping of 2010.
