BWE signs contract for supply of FGD for Asnæsværket

In early April 2008 BWE received a Letter of Intent from DONG Energy in Denmark for the design, supply, erection, and commissioning of an FGD plant for Asnæsværket Power Station in Denmark. The contract was finalized early June 2008, and the plant will be handed over in the beginning of 2010.

The FGD plant is based on BWE's license for the CT-121 FGD technology developed by the Japanese company Chiyoda Corporation (www.chiyoda-corp.com/en/index.php). The project is the second FGD under the license awarded to BWE.

The first CT-121 FGD was supplied for DONG Energy's Unit 2 on Stigsnæsværket Power Station, and this FGD unit has been in commercial operation since 2000.
