Start of erection at Amager unit 1

On October 10, 2006 the erection site for the new multi fuel fired boiler, Amager unit 1, was officially taken over by BWE. The steel structure from the former boiler is re-used and therefore extensive reinforcement works must be completed before erection of the boiler pressure parts begins at the beginning of 2007.

The plant is scheduled to start commercial operation January 1, 2009.
