New vibrating grate for Enstedværket

BWE has been awarded a contract from Elsam Kraft A/S for the supply of a new water cooled vibrating grate for the straw fired boiler at Enstedværket, Åbenrå, Denmark. The boiler has a capacity of 21.5 tons of straw per hour, equivalent of a thermal input of 85 MJ/s.

The contract comprises engineering, supply and erection of not only the vibrating grate and related pressure parts but also a new supporting steel structure as well as the connecting ducts.

The straw fired boiler will be taken out of operation beginning of September 2006 and be ready for operation by mid October 2006.
