Engineering contract for Shanxian 30 MWe biomass boiler

The Hong Kong based China Biomass Energy has awarded BWE a basic engineering contract for boiler island of a 30 MWe biomass fuelled plant in Shanxian, Shandong Province of the Peoples Republic of China.

The boiler is a drum boiler of 36.2 kg/s steam at 90 bar and 540°C and equipped with a BWE water cooled vibrating grate combustion system and BWE air sprouds for the intake of fuel. The fuel will be wood chips and cotton stalks.

Installation will start January 2006 and the plant will be in commercial operation in the end of 2006.
