New heating elements for GGH at Avedøre Power Station unit 2

Avedøre power station has decided to exchange the heating elements in the GGH installed in unit 2's FGD plant due to heavy corrosion, and BWE has been awarded the contract. For this new supply, BWE has together with its sub-supplier for the enamelling - Ferro Techniek in Holland (www.ferrotechniek.com) - further developed the heating elements with regards to improved corrosion resistance.

The applied type of enamel is two to three times more resistant to the actual acids in the flue gas and the baskets are of a new fully enamelled type which considerably improves the lifetime compared to the traditional Cortén type baskets.
