Low-NOx Burners

The Wide Range (WR) combustion system offers fuel- and load flexible systems that can be implemented as part of a new plant or adapted to existing plants as retrofits.

BWE delivers full systems as turnkey deliveries or system parts to existing plants. Fuel- and combustion systems can be supplied for pulverised fuels, liquid fuels as well as gas. The range of fuels includes coal, oil, natural gas, orimulsion, wood and peat

WR firing principle

The boiler plants can be front wall- opposed wall ortangentially fired, Rapid and stable ignition along with sub stoichiometry promotes low UBC (unburned carbon in fly ash) and simultaneous low NOx formation, this is the prime technology in the WR systems.

The burners have been supplied in capacities from 20 to 85 MWthermal per burner on boilers up to 2000 t/h steam.
